Description
Commissioned by a famous Turkish sailor and designed by world-renowned naval architect Doug Peterson, this one-off yacht was originally IOR-rated as a racer and later refined as a fast cruiser, blending exceptional sailing performance with comfortable living spaces.
Built in 1987 by Arduman Shipyard, Istanbul, she features cold-molded wood construction (four diagonal layers laminated with epoxy, finished with a fiberglass outer skin). With a 22-ton displacement and 9-ton ballast, her nearly 2:1 keel ratio ensures remarkable stiffness and balance under sail — a hallmark of true performance yachts.
The interior spans the yacht’s full beam, offering a spacious saloon, galley to port, and a comprehensive navigation station to starboard equipped with full B&G instrumentation, radar, and communication systems.
Forward are two guest cabins with shared head and shower, plus a crew cabin with private facilities in the forepeak.
Powered by a Sabre-marinized Ford 6L engine, fully rebuilt three years ago, and complemented by a Fischer Panda 8 kVA generator, CruiseAir A/C units, and a 70L/h watermaker, this yacht is perfectly set for extended cruising or offshore racing.
Her hydrodynamic hull lines, elliptical rudder, and optimized “Skeg” design maximize efficiency while maintaining smooth control and superb balance. With her two-spreader rig, she remains fast, responsive, and safe in all sea conditions.
This yacht represents a rare opportunity for sailors who value classic craftsmanship, Doug Peterson performance, and timeless design.
